I read your article and get your point. It has always been the strategy of the elites to control threats to their power, if this is easer than fighting it.

Quite doomy and dystopian.

Here are my silver lines of hope:

- large miners (e.g. Ant Pool) are not single mining farms but pools where thousands of individuals contribute with their computing power. "Free" Mining Pools could emerge. There you have the Hashrate Wars.

- Countries that would like to break the dominance of the US-Dollar could allow and promote free mining in their jurisdictions. Most probably small countries, no authoritarian ones, as they also don't like an uncontrollable free money system.

- Enough people could understand what's at stake and vote in favor of pro bitcoin parties.

I understand that this all could get quite ugly, when the people in power decide to fight bitcoin at all costs.

But freedom always needs hope, don't you think?
